Hunter education is required for anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1961 before buying a license, with some exceptions.

New to Hunting?
Learn everything you need to know about getting started, from safety courses and licensing requirements to choosing the right equipment and finding your first hunting spot.
We offer one to three-day Hunt & Learn programs that educate participants about hunting and conservation, along with an opportunity to hunt a specific game animal.

Hunting With Kids
Children, ages 10–17, and their supervisors are invited to a weekend of hunting and classes in a variety of skills-based and conservation-focused programs.
Children under 16 years of age or younger may apply for youth hunts and specific quota hunts.
