Deer Processing Facilities

The accuracy of the information in this database is dependent upon facility operators.

Facilities processing deer must obtain a Wildlife Storage Permit prior to inclusion in this database. This is a required permit and applications may be obtained through any of the Georgia DNR Law Enforcement Section regional offices.

If you are a facility operator, you can add or update your information in our database. When contacting us, please provide your business name and address, your name (as contact), county of operation, business telephone number, hours of operation and directions. This list is updated by request. Notify melissa.cummings@dnr.ga.gov of any errors or omissions.


Feral Hog Processing Facilities

Feral hog processing facilities are regulated by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. For more information on feral hog processing facilities, contact the Georgia Department of Agriculture, Meat Inspection Section. The facilities in the linked list below are capable of processing feral hogs (Custom Exempt & State Inspected facilities). Call ahead to ensure that a particular facility can/will process feral hogs. Many of these facilities also process deer.


Alligator Processing Facilities

All wild alligator harvested under the quota hunt system during the Georgia Alligator Season is for personal human consumption and not for introduction into commerce. Alligator processing facilities are regulated by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
