Hunting
The purpose of hunting regulations is to manage Georgia’s game birds and game animals according to sound principles of wildlife management and to meet public objectives for use of these renewable natural resources.
Changes to the existing rules reflect the need to adopt hunting regulations for the next two years, add all 3 bear zones to Game Check reporting requirements, allow for a possible additional day of harvest in the Central Bear Zone, add 100 alligator quota permits, extend deer season in certain southwestern counties, allow online sign in for dog-bear hunting, regulate hunting and other activities on WMAs and other public lands, and housekeeping changes.
