Gaither WMA is a leased property, made available to the public through the cooperation of the Newton County Board of Commissioners for small game, turkey, and deer hunting. This 2,129-acre tract is located in Newton County has 2 regular deer quota hunts, and 1 youth deer quota hunt. The quota hunt application deadline has already passed for the season.

The Bobby Brown Archery Range is located in Bobby Brown Park & Outdoor Recreation Area in Elbert County. This range is made possible by a partnership with Elbert County Parks and Recreation and the Georgia DNR's Wildlife Resources Division.

The Ball's Ferry property is located in Toomsboro and is 525 acres. This property offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game and waterfowl. There is a boat ramp that can be used for fishing access. No camping allowed on the area. 

The Perry Dove Field is a 226-acre property located in Perry. This area offers hunting opportunities for youth archery deer hunting and dove. No camping is allowed on the property. This property is only open to the public during hunt dates.

Camp Thunder VPA is a 1,627-acre property located outside of Thomaston. Opportunities include archery hunting for deer, turkey and small game during state seasons. No ATVs or camping allowed. Hunters utilizing this area for deer or turkey hunting should be sure to check their game using Georgia Game Check and select Public Land option, Upson County, and then Camp Thunder VPA.
