Clarks Hill Wildlife Management Area – West is located in McDuffie, Wilkes, and Warren counties. This 3,067-acre property is owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and managed by the Georgia DNR-Wildlife Resources Division. It consists of the property bordering 3 tributaries entering Clarks Hill Lake from the western side: Little River, Big Creek, and Hart Creek. It offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, and waterfowl. The habitat consists of rolling to steep terrain and is made up of mature mixed hardwood-pine woodlands with white and norther red oaks and loblolly pine. This property is best accessed by boat from either the Little River boat ramp on U.S. Highway 78/GA Highway 17 or Clarks Hill Lake. This area is open for statewide hunting seasons and is not included in the specialty hunts offered on other WMAs. There is no camping offered on this WMA.
