The 2025 version of Georgia’s State Wildlife Action Plan has been completed. This statewide strategy, often called the SWAP, will guide conservation of the state’s Species of Greatest Conservation Need and their habitats during the next 10 years (2025-2035), before these native animals and plants become rarer and more costly to conserve and restore.
Visit the Wild Georgia Conservation Hub to access the 2025 SWAP. The 2015 version is no longer up to date but contains valuable historic information. The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service is reviewing the 2025 plan to ensure it meets congressional requirements. This review will not change species, habitats or conservation priorities identified in the plan.
