Join us for a summer filled with exciting experiences! CEWC will be offering day and overnight camps June - July for ages 6-16. Throughout each week, campers will have unique opportunities to engage in activities that connect them to the outdoors.Girls at Camp

Day Camp Sessions

Where the Wild Things Are

Ages: 6-8
Cost: $150
Monday, June 3rd - Friday, June 7th, 2024, 9am - 4pm daily

"Let the wild rumpus start!” Inspiring a love of nature and the outdoors, this camp opens the door to a lifetime of adventure and fun through exploration and hands-on activities. Using play, crafts, live animal encounters, and games campers escape to the natural world to have amazing adventures each day. During this camp, campers get a chance to tell their own “WILD” story of where the wild things are.

Nature Heroes

Ages: 8-10
Cost: $150
Monday, June 17th - Friday, June 21st, 2024, 9am - 4pm daily

Heroes unite! The Power is Yours! Using Marvel and DC comic book personas, campers develop skills and knowledge to help protect some of Georgia’s amazing wildlife. Some of the activities in superhero training include archery, wildlife identification, fishing, and canoeing. By the end of the camp, campers will utilize those skills to become the next “CEWC Earth Warriors” and earn special hero gear!

Overnight Camp

Gone Fishin’

Cost: $325
Monday, June 10th – Friday, June 14th, 2024

While the parents are away the kids will fish and play all day! This camp is designed for the young angler to master fishing regulations, knot tying, casting, and retrieval of multiple fish species. We will also dive into fish habitat, biology, and management with special guests and trips. Our week will culminate in a fishing tournament, but not before adding in a touch of that summer camp magic with the fishing fun!

Outdoor Team Challenge

Ages 11-13
Cost: $325
Monday, June 24th – Friday, June 28th, 2024

On your mark, get set, go! Campers forge friendships through a series of high-energy activities, team-building exercises, and develop skills in outdoor pursuits such as canoeing, archery, wilderness survival and put wildlife knowledge to the test. The week will culminate in a competition utilizing the skills they’ve gained throughout their time together. This truly is a camp where teamwork makes the dream work!

Shooting Sports

Ages: 12-16
Cost: $350        
Monday, July 1st- Friday, July 5th, 2024

Shooting Sports Camp will start campers on the path to becoming a safe, responsible shooter by learning the basic rules of gun safety and proper handling of rifles, shotguns, and archery equipment. Safety will be emphasized as campers learn fundamentals of shooting while participating in various shooting activities. They will also learn how to safely clean, maintain, and store firearms. An opportunity to demonstrate their new skills will round out the week.

Out Huntin’

Ages: 12-16
Cost: $350
Monday, July 8th- Friday, July 12th, 2024

Interested in becoming a hunter but don’t know how to get started? Spend the week learning about Georgia’s game animals and how to successfully pursue them. You will learn basic wildlife biology and behavior, hunter safety practices, hunting methods, and firearms handling, as well as game processing and preparation for the table. By week’s end, participants will have completed Georgia’s hunter safety certification requirements. Everyone will also have an opportunity to demonstrate the new skills and knowledge learned.

Adventures in Conservation Education (ACE)

Ages: Rising 7th- 9th graders
Cost: $175
Monday July 15th, 10:30am- Friday July 19th, 11:30am, 2024

ACE is a unique camp for middle school students focusing on wildlife conservation. Participants will spend five days learning via hands-on activities and day trips in the Piedmont region of Georgia. Campers will explore wildlife forensics by investigating wildlife crimes, hike Ohoopee Dunes, canoe local waterways, discover the granite outcrop ecosystem, and identify regional wildlife species.  Thanks to a grant from The Environmental Resources Network, the cost of this educational experience is reduced.
