Deer Management Plan 2025-2031: Public Input Requested:
WRD’s successful management efforts are informed through biological data, public input and management objectives identified in the agency’s statewide deer management plan. WRD is developing the next Georgia Deer Management Plan and requests your input at any of 3 upcoming meetings. The public can drop-in at any time during the open house style meetings. Biologists and others will be available to answer questions about the key issues and provide background information.

Hunting
There are no scheduled public meetings for proposed regulations on two new Wildlife Management Areas. However, the public can comment on these proposed regulations through close of business on March 31, 2024. Comments can be submitted electronically by email to gm.comments@dnr.ga.gov, by telephone (706-557-3350) or by submitting written statements (Dr. Tina Johannsen, Department of Natural Resources/Wildlife Resources Division/Game Management Section/2067 US Highway 278, SE/Social Circle, GA 30025).
