Hunters and other interested citizens are invited to attend any upcoming public meetings regarding the development of hunting regulations for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 hunting seasons:

WRD recognizes that some individuals will not be able to make the public meetings. It is important to understand that there are no proposals currently available and these meetings start the regulations process. The purpose of these meetings is to gather input from interested person for our professional wildlife staff to consider as they begin developing proposed regulations in February. At the public meetings, staff will give a brief presentation that includes specific items of interest that we are considering. These items are not the only issues we will consider as we are always open to input from the public for consideration.

Currently, there is one public hearing scheduled for Georgia Fishing Regulations:
Last spring, the Wildlife Resources Division conducted public scoping efforts to determine if Georgians would support adjusting the walleye creel and possession limit at Lake Blue Ridge from fifteen (15) to the statewide limit of eight (8). A public hearing on this topic is scheduled:
