Instructions for Password Self-Service with screen shots

Register for Xpress Password Reset tool

  • Navigate to https://passreset.gets.georgia.gov/ and click on the “Register” button and enter your SOG Username and password (if you don't know your SOG Username, contact robin.freeman@dnr.ga.gov or jeff.myers@dnr.ga.gov).  Make sure SOG is selected in the drop down and click "Next”.
  • Fill out both the user defined questions and the user selected questions.
  • Click Validate Security Questions
  • Click Register

Reset your password (Your account must be registered before you can use this feature)

  • Navigate to https://passreset.gets.georgia.gov/ and click on the “Forgot Password” button and enter your SOG Username (if you don't know your SOG Username, contact robin.freeman@dnr.ga.gov or jeff.myers@dnr.ga.gov).  Make sure SOG is selected in the drop down and click "Next”.
  • Fill in the answers to “Security Questions Verification” (These answers are case sensitive), type in the Captcha and click Validate.
  • Fill in “New Password” and “Confirm Password”, then click reset or unlock

Change your Security question

  • Navigate to https://passreset.gets.georgia.gov/ and click on the “Login” button and enter your SOG Username and password (if you don't know your SOG Username, contact robin.freeman@dnr.ga.gov or jeff.myers@dnr.ga.gov).    Make sure SOG is selected in the drop down and click "Login”.
  • You may see a screen that states “Continue Registration”.  This will allow you to enter a cell phone number so, you can receive a one time passcode.  Click on skip if you don’t want to set this option up.

  • To skip this option - Click on the red “Skip” Button.  Once you click “Skip” you may get a “Soft Token Setup” pop up.   You can either set this up or skip it.  For instructions on how to setup Soft Token, click on the “? How to setup Soft Token” button located on the right side below the blue information box.
  • To set up One Time Passcode - Enter your cell phone number and click “Send SMS OTP (One Time Passcode).  Enter the OTP (One Time Passcode and click Verify.
  • Once you click verify or “Skip” you may get a “Soft Token Setup” pop up.   You can either set this up or skip it.  For instructions on how to setup Soft Token, click on the “? How to setup Soft Token” button located on the right side below the blue information box

  • Click on the down arrow next to "Self Service" to display a list of Options (You can check the box next to "Show Password" to display your current answers.  Answers are case Sensitive.)
  • Once you have changed the answers click on the "Update" button.
