What is a Service Request (SR) Number?

Service Request (SR) Number (e.g., SR123987) is assigned to every problem reported through the Service Desk. This is the number that is used to track your request. Every call to the Service Desk generates an SR number.

The Service Representative will provide you with your Service Number when you call in your Service Request. Write this number down and do not misplace it. You will need it if you have to call to check on the status of your request.

If the representative can handle your problem on the phone, this SR number is the only number that will be assigned.

If your problem cannot be handled on the phone (for example, if a Service Technician has to come to your location), then your request will also be assigned an Incident Number (e.g., IN76345).

Both numbers are important. Don’t lose track of them.
