How Can You Prevent ANS? Practice CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY!

CLEAN
DRAIN
DRY

*Inspect all watercraft, trailer, motor, tackle, and wading boots thoroughly.
*Remove all plants because even plant fragments can spread.
*Remove all mud and soil, as it may contain ANS *

CLEAN everything with a high-pressure hose or hot water (at least 120 degrees F)

Remember, microscopic mussel veligers (larvae) can float freely in water, so DRAIN all water from inside the boat, including the bilge, motor, livewell, etc. by removing the drain plug and opening all water draining devices away from the boat ramp.

DRY everything thoroughly, preferably air dry for at least 5 days, or otherwise dry thoroughly with a towel, before going to other waterbodies and landings.
