Fishing - Stephen C. Foster State Park

Victoria Bryant Logo

Visitors with a valid fishing license are welcome to fish at the park and in the swamp. Standard Georgia catch limits apply. Anglers regularly catch: bowfin, warmouth, channel catfish, chubsucker, black crappie, and bluegill. Avoid casting near alligators as they will sometimes try to steal your catch. No bait fish allowed but worms and basic tackle are available for purchase at the trading post.

By land, anglers can fish around our boat basin or can drive 5 miles down the road to the Suwannee River Sill. By boat, anglers have access to over 15 miles of day-use trails.

Please do not feed the alligators.
