The Appling County Dove Field is 110 acres of dove fields open the first three Saturdays of Dove Season.
Sept. 2 is a Youth Hunt. On opening day, hunters shall not enter a managed dove field, and hunting structures shall not be placed on a managed dove field prior to 10:00 am. Youth hunt begins at 1:30 pm. This area is only open to the public the first three Saturdays during dove season.

- From Alma: Take US 1 north to Pat Lewis Rd. on right (1st road on right after crossing over the Appling County line from Bacon County). Go 1 mile to dove fields.
- From Baxley: Take US 1 south for 9 miles; turn left on Pat Lewis Rd. Go 1 mile to dove fields.
Voluntary Public Access Area
Appling County Dove Field is a Voluntary Public Access (VPA) property. Since 2014, the Wildlife Resources Division has been able to enhance and add to its WMA program through additional temporary agreements with private landowners for public hunting opportunities thanks to a USDA grant.
