Join us for a summer filled with exciting experiences! Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center will be offering day and overnight camps June - July for ages 6-16. Throughout each week, campers will have unique opportunities to engage in activities that connect them to the outdoors. Day Camps
Nature Heroes
Ages: 8-10 | Cost: $175
Monday, June 15th - Friday, June 19th, 2026, 9 am – 4 pm daily
Heroes unite! The Power is Yours! Using Marvel and DC comic book personas, campers will develop skills and knowledge to help them protect Georgia’s incredible wildlife. Superhero training includes archery, wildlife identification, fishing, canoeing, and more. By the end of the week, campers will use these skills to become the next “CEWC Earth Warriors” and earn their own special hero gear!
Where the Wild Things Are
Ages: 6-8 | Cost: $175
Monday, July 6th - Friday, July 10th, 2026, 9 am – 4 pm daily
"Let the wild rumpus start!” This camp inspires a love of nature through outdoor exploration and hands-on activities. Using play, crafts, live animal encounters, and games, campers escape to the natural world to discover Georgia’s wildlife. Each day brings new and exciting adventures, preparing campers to tell their own “WILD” stories about where the wild things are.
Overnight Camps:
All overnight camps include a bed in our onsite lodge-style rooms and meals in our Dining Hall. Drop off on Monday is at 10:30 am with pickup at 11:00 am on Friday, unless otherwise noted.
Gone Fishin’
Ages: 11-13 | Cost: $350
Monday, June 8th – Friday, June 12th, 2026
While the parents are away, the kids will fish and play all day! This camp is perfect for young anglers eager to enhance their fishing skills, from understanding fishing regulations, to knot tying, casting, and making their own lures. Campers will also dive into learning more about fish habitats, biology, and conservation through exciting activities with special guests and a field trip. The week will wrap up with a fishing tournament, all while capturing the magic of summer camp fun along the way!
Outdoor Team Challenge
Ages: 11-13 | Cost: $350
Monday, June 22nd – Friday, June 26th, 2026
Ready, set, adventure! Campers will build friendships through exciting team challenges and high-energy activities like canoeing, archery, fishing, and more. Throughout the week, they will compete to earn points for their team while developing new skills, working together with teammates, and building their knowledge of Georgia wildlife. At this camp, teamwork truly makes the dream work!
Shooting Sports
Ages: 12-16 | Cost: $315
Monday, June 29th – Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 at 3:00 pm
Shooting sports can be a whole lot of fun, but with that comes a great deal of responsibility. Shooting Sports Camp will get your youngster started on the path to becoming a safe and responsible shooter. Campers will learn the basic rules of gun safety along with the proper handling of rifles, shotguns, and archery equipment. Safety will be emphasized as campers learn the fundamentals of shooting while participating in various shooting activities. They will also learn how to safely clean, maintain, and store firearms.
Out Huntin’ Camp
Ages: 12-16 | Cost: $350
Monday, July 13th – Friday, July 17th, 2026
Interested in becoming a hunter but don’t how to get started? Out Huntin’ is meant for you! Spend the week with us here at CEWC learning about Georgia’s game animals and how to successfully pursue them. You will learn basic wildlife biology and behavior, hunter safety practices, hunting methods, and firearms handling, as well as game processing and preparation for the table. By week’s end, participants will earn their Georgia’s Hunter Safety Certification with the successful completion of the required exam.
Adventures in Conservation Education (ACE)
Ages: 12-14 | Cost: $200
Monday July 20th - Friday July 24th, 2026
ACE is a unique camp for middle school students focusing on wildlife conservation. Participants will spend five days learning about Georgia wildlife via hands-on activities and day trips in the north Georgia Mountains. Campers will explore the Blue Ridge and Cumberland Plateau ecoregions by snorkeling in a mountain creek, discussing black bear research, visiting a fish hatchery, and caving for endemic salamanders and bats. Thanks to a grant from The Environmental Resources Network, the cost of this camp is only $200 per person.
