Free Rain Barrel Application

The Georgia Coastal Management Program (GCMP) is expanding the Build Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop series by providing free plastic drums and DIY kits to eligible public entities.   Thanks to plastic drum donations from Coke Florida and kit funding from an EPD Section 319(h) grant, public entities are eligible to receive a free rain barrel to install at your building to catch the rain.  Placed under one of your downspouts, rain barrels conveniently collect rainwater that you can use to water gardens and lawns, wash cars or even fill birdbaths and ponds.

Installation assistance and long-term maintenance guidance will be provided by GCMP staff.  Eligible applicants include any local government (County, City, Authority etc.) within the GCMP 11 coastal county service area (Brantley, Bryan, Camden, Charlton, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, and Wayne), Schools (K12 or Colleges/Universities), state agencies, or other public service organizations.  Applications will be considered complete when all questions are answered and requested photos have been submitted.  All resources will be distributed on a first come first served basis- based on receipt of complete application.

Please fill out the following information and click “Submit Application.”  Please call 912-264-7218 with any questions.
