Come experience Beyond BOW: Land of the Trembling Earth, a workshop unlike any other in one of Georgia’s amazing natural wonders – the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. This program is part of the Beyond Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BBOW) program.
“This program will offer a unique opportunity to develop such outdoor skills as fishing, boating and hunting all while exploring and learning about the Okefenokee,” says Jody Rice, Georgia BOW Coordinator. “BOW is an educational program offering hands-on workshops to women of all ages and physical ability levels and aims to break down barriers to female participation in outdoor activities by providing a safe and supportive learning environment.”
Beyond BOW: Land of the Trembling Earth: Dec. 8-10, 2017; Cost $630 – This Beyond BOW will offer such activities as fishing, alligator tagging, and large game hunting while discovering the historical and cultural resources of the Okefenokee. Participants will stay at the Suwanee River Eco Lodge, part of Stephen Foster State Park. Fee includes all programming, lodging, hunting/fishing licenses, refuge permit and meals.
