The printed 2011-2012 Georgia Hunting Seasons and Regulations Guide (p. 58) contains an error regarding two hunts at Clayhole Swamp WMA (near Sterling, GA), according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division. The error lists two hunts as occurring on the same dates – an Adult Child Either Sex hunt and a Firearms Either Sex hunt.
Correct dates for the two hunts are as follows:
Clayhole Swamp WMA is a 5,242 acre management area found in Sterling, GA in McIntosh County. Opportunities for hunting include deer, turkey, small game, feral hog and alligators.
