WINDER, Ga. (6/18/2010)
Designed with everything outdoors in mind, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division’s 3-day archery camp aims to educate and engage adventurous youth. Registration is now open for the camp, which is scheduled for June 28-30, 2010 at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia.
“Archery camp is going to be three days worth of fun-filled outdoor adventures,” says Jen Pittman, shooting sports program coordinator with the Wildlife Resources Division. “This is a great opportunity to develop archery skills and to expose children to the exciting outdoor opportunities around them.”
Campers should expect constant activity, including target practice, fishing, outdoor exploration, wildlife identification and hunter safety presentations.
Camp is intended for youth ages 9-14. To register, an archery camp registration packet must be completed and turned in along with a $50 payment to the Wildlife Resources Division by June 25. Camp hours run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
