Waterfowl Hunting & Management

These areas are open seven days a week during the waterfowl season.  Species such as scaup, scoters, eiders, buffleheads, red-breasted and common mergansers abound, but they can be difficult to hunt because they inhabit "big water."  Conditions on the coastal waters can be dangerous and unpredictable; therefore, hunters should be familiar with coastal navigation before they attempt waterfowl hunting in these areas.  Call GADNR at 912-262-3173 for more information.
