Trouble Shooting PDF Files
01/04/2005

Some documents on this website are available
in Portable Document Format also called "PDF".
Throughout this website they may be marked by this icon
. Some complex
documents are presented in PDF because they contain
graphs, images, or special text that cannot be displayed
properly through the typical web browser. The tips below will
help you view, print, and download copies of these documents from
this website.
-
All PDF files should be viewed with
Acrobat Reader version 5 or higher. If you don't have Adobe Reader
you can get it
here for free.
-
To view PDF
files, the "allow fast web view" entry in Acrobat Reader
should be disabled.
-
In Version 5:
open Acrobat Reader and go to Edit/Preferences/General/Options and
disable "allow fast web view."
-
For Version
6: open Acrobat Reader and go to Edit/Preferences/Internet and
disable "allow fast web view."
Important: Some
PDF files on the web site are very large. File size is generally
indicated near the file name or link (i.e. 656k or 1.3 MB). If
you have trouble opening a large file, download the file and save
it to your computer. Once saved to your hard drive the file should
open more quickly.
