Beginning April 15, 2017, visitors to the Dixon Memorial Shooting Range, located at Dixon Memorial Wildlife Management Area in Ware County, will need to note new operating hours and prepare to be greeted by new Range Safety Officers.
The new operating hours for Dixon Memorial Shooting Range are:
- Tuesday-Saturday (10 am – 6 pm)
- Sunday (1 – 6 pm)
- Monday (Closed)
Dixon Memorial Shooting Range offers a 100-yard and a 25-yard range. Target stands and target backers will be provided by the range. Only those provided may be used.
Range visitors (ages 16-64) should note that Dixon Memorial requires possession of a qualifying license prior to use. Qualifying licenses include: lifetime license, sportsman’s license, wildlife management area license, or Georgia Outdoor Recreational Pass (GORP). Range users must sign-in upon arrival, providing a customer ID number (found on appropriate licenses and/or permits). Licenses available at http://georgiawildlife.com/licenses-permits-passes.
