Lake Lanier

Lake Lanier is a 38,000 acre reservoir owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  Lanier is noted for its large resident Canada goose population, which provides ample hunting opportunity.  Limited duck hunting also is available at the upper end of the lake.  Call the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GADNR) at 770-535-5700 for a complete list of special waterfowl hunting regulations for Lake Lanier.
