There were 551 alligator hunters selected for the 2008 alligator quota hunt
from 5070 applicants. Approximately eighty-eight percent (88%) of selected alligator hunters were Georgia residents. Twenty-six percent (26%) of alligator hunters were successful in harvesting an alligator.
