Conservation Land Maps
Georgia Conservation Land Maps
The Wildlife Resources Division maintains information on boundaries of conservation lands, including lands managed by the Department of Natural Resources. Two maps presented here demonstrate the use of this information. The "Conservation Lands" map shows the boundaries of lands managed by federal, state, local government and private agencies. The "Lands Managed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources" map shows a subset of this information, indicating which DNR-managed lands are owned in fee-simple and which are managed through leases and other agreements. The information presented on these maps updated for 2015 is available as Geographic Information System digital files on the website of the Georgia GIS Data Clearinghouse under a layer entitled "Conservation Lands 2015".
