The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division has many ways to provide assistance to landowners, including the private lands program, conservation easements and Forestry for Wildlife Partnership.

In April 1995, WRD began a Private Lands Initiative to intensify efforts in promoting, encouraging and providing technical assistance for wildlife conservation on private lands in Georgia.
