Contest Awards

Certificates: Educators may request Give Wildlife a Chance certificates for all students who participate in their local school competition. There is no limit to the number of certificates a participating school can receive.

Ribbons: Educators may request first-, second- and third-place ribbons to present to class, grade level or school group participants. There is no limit to the number of ribbons a participating school can receive.

State-level Award:  The artwork of all first-, second- and third-place state-level winners will be showcased in the Garden Earth Naturalist calendar, on the GA DNR Wildlife Resources Flickr website, and displayed at the Go Fish Education Center in Perry, GA from April 26 - May 12, 2013.  The center is open to the general public on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Teachers and parents are encouraged to bring your children to see the winning artwork on display and enjoy an adventurous day exploring the center’s live fish exhibits, enjoying interactive fishing and boating simulators and seeing some of Georgia’s diverse aquatic wildlife, including live alligators!  The center can be reserved for educational outreach programs Tuesday through Thursday.  Call Clare Thorn at (478) 988-7187 to schedule school group visits.
