Hunting Regulations Changes: Proposed or Recently Approved

HUNTING REGULATIONS

The purpose of hunting regulations is to manage Georgia’s game birds and game animals according to principles of sound wildlife management and to meet public objectives for use of these renewable natural resources.

RECENTLY APPROVED REGULATIONS:

  • Alligator Creek WMA (Wheeler County): Approved Hunting Regulations These regulations were approved by the Georgia DNR Board at the February 2017 meeting. The comment period for these regulations is closed.
  • Alapaha River WMA: Approved Hunting Regulations These regulations were approved by the Georgia DNR Board at their August 2016 meeting. The comment period for these regulations is closed.
