NOTICE OF RESEARCH STUDY INVOLVING HUNTER EDUCATION STUDENTS

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources has partnered with Responsive Management, a Virginia-based research firm, on a study examining motivations for hunter education enrollment and the most important “next step” guidance needed for hunter education graduates to become lifelong hunters.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources would like to notify hunter education students that they may receive a telephone call from Responsive Management researchers, who will be surveying students both before and after students complete the hunter education course for which they are signed up. The first surveys will be administered throughout September and October, prior to hunter ed. classes during those months; the follow-up surveys will be administered in January 2012, after the current hunting season.

Hunter education students from several other state programs will be contacted as part of the research study as well.

NOTICE OF RESEARCH STUDY INVOLVING APPRENTICE HUNTING LICENSE HOLDERS

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources has partnered with Responsive Management, a Virginia-based research firm, on a study examining motivations for the purchases of Apprentice Hunting Licenses and the most important “next step” guidance needed for these license holders to become lifelong hunters.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources would like to notify Apprentice Hunting License holders that they may receive a telephone call from Responsive Management researchers, who will be surveying license holders over the next several weeks. The survey will be conducted entirely by telephone and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Apprentice license holders in several other states will be contacted as part of the research study as well.
